What's the meaning of life? Will you read Nietzsche, or ask Siri?

Better technology will not create better philosophers. Artificial intelligence and cognitive augmentation will transform humanity in a way that we don’t have to experience philosophy the same way.

I agree the ever-increasing role of philosophy in life but job is altogether something else. Philosophy has no use to a capitalist. If I look at LinkedIn I see a many having job title as AI Ethicists. But they are below hundred and will max out at few thousands by the end of this decade.

The problem with philosophy is that it does not answer any of our question. But it is good at showing all the wonders lying below which are not easily discoverable or observable.

In the future, you will not feel the need of philosophy as everything subjective will be reducible to some complex black box algorithm.

Or itching is no more for the infinite but for the predictability, and AI will outsmart us. Lobbies of tech giants will let AI supersede humans, and we may lose our place as the dominant species on this planet. We are still not ready to drop our arrogance. How can philosophy be helpful?
